Since 1953 it has been the basis for the success story of the company, combined with trend-setting innovations. Master plucked instrument maker Armin Hanika took over the company from his father in 1993 and has been building classical guitars of outstanding quality ever since. The HE-Double-Top model exemplifies fine craftsmanship, featuring back and sides made of the best Madagascar Rosewood and a top of superior cedar. This guitar incorporates an innovative asymmetrically weighted domed soundboard with a sandwich design that optimizes efficiency and enhances the instrument’s superior dynamics, balanced tonal range, and crisp, sustained sound. It is equipped with high-quality Alessi machine heads with ebony pegs, a reinforced cedro neck with premium hardwood, and a smooth ebony fingerboard. The three-ply rosewood, maple, and Makassar headstock adds visual appeal, complemented by a glossy UV-curing acrylic lacquer body finish and a French polish on the top.
