Siccas Luthiers - Recital Contemporary Doubletop Lattice Spruce 64 cm
About the luthier
Siccas Luthiers was founded by brothers Mirco and Manuel Sicca, who have dedicated their lives to the art of classical guitars, inspired by their late father Mario Sicca. Mario excelled not only as a soloist, but also as a respected professor at the Stuttgart Musikhochschule, and as a passionate luthier and collector. His deep love for the instrument continues to guide their vision. Rooted in the experience behind Siccas Guitars, a reference for hand-made instruments by the world’s finest luthiers past and present, Mirco and Manuel set out to create guitars that reflect the same high standards of sound, aesthetics, and craft. This vision led to the creation of Siccas Luthiers, a project shaped by unique designs developed in-house by a team of experienced luthiers and players.
About the guitar
The “Recital Contemporary” is a double-top concert guitar developed within the Siccas Recital model line. This version features a spruce outer top with a nomex core and a cedar inner layer, producing a focused and brilliant voice with excellent sustain and projection. The all-wood lattice bracing supports both structural lightness and acoustic clarity, while the soundport in the upper bout offers enhanced player feedback and control.
This 64 cm version is designed with a 51 mm nut, making it an excellent choice for players with smaller hands. It preserves the overall tonal identity of the 65 cm model while offering a slightly stronger presence in the midrange and a subtly warmer overall sound. Despite these nuances, the character remains consistent across both scales—clear, lyrical, and dynamically responsive. The spruce top supports bright, vibrant trebles and offers excellent transparency in polyphonic textures. With refined technique, the instrument responds with great expressiveness and tonal direction.
