Siccas Luthiers - Recital Traditional Spruce 64 cm
About the luthier
Siccas Luthiers was founded by brothers Mirco and Manuel Sicca, who have dedicated their lives to the art of classical guitars, inspired by their late father Mario Sicca. Mario excelled not only as a soloist, but also as a respected professor at the Stuttgart Musikhochschule, and as a passionate luthier and collector. His deep love for the instrument continues to guide their vision.
Rooted in the experience behind Siccas Guitars, a reference for hand-made instruments by the world’s finest luthiers past and present, Mirco and Manuel set out to create guitars that reflect the same high standards of sound, aesthetics, and craft. This vision led to the creation of Siccas Luthiers, a project shaped by unique designs developed in-house by a team of experienced luthiers and players.
About the guitar
The Recital model represents the essence of the traditional classical guitar, built with all solid woods and inspired by the timeless Spanish sound. Its design follows a Ramirez style fan bracing that enhances note definition while preserving a natural balance across the registers. The spruce soundboard gives the attack a bright, lively, and immediate character, with an open and articulate response. Each note, whether bass or treble, speaks clearly and with focus, and the colors remain intuitive and responsive to the player’s touch. As the right hand moves, the response develops naturally, from a round, warm sound to a fresh, singing brightness. The basses are firm, well shaped, and resonant, yet never overpowering or uncontrolled.
This guitar offers a natural and expressive voice, with a strong sense of musicality and projection. It delivers very good clarity and tone separation, giving a clean outline to every register. The presence feels intimate yet powerful, the basses remain silky yet strong, and the trebles reveal depth with multiple layers of color. It stays true to the classical tradition while reflecting the precision and consistency that Siccas Luthiers strives for.
The Recital is built with a spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides. The instrument is finished entirely in polyurethane, chosen for its durability and ease of maintenance. It comes in a hard shell case.
In contrast to the standard version with a 65 cm scale and 52 mm nut width, this model features a shorter 64 cm scale and a 51 mm nut. The reduced scale offers enhanced comfort for demanding repertoire that requires wide stretches with the left hand, while providing a softer touch for the right hand, especially during intricate passagework or extended playing sessions. It is also adequate for players with smaller side.
